My New 1950's Style Red Denim Jeans

I'm not really a wearer of trousers but I do wear jeans.

I  do own other 'vintage style' jeans, but had heard some great things about certain reproduction brands

I thought I'd give the high waisted 1950's style jeans a try. These jeans are made by Vivien Of Holloway

Before ordering them, I wasn't to sure on two accounts, one is the leg length (I'm only 5 foot 2 inches in height).

The other was the fact that the high waist might emphasise the size of my bottom.

I actually love them They make my waist look so small and seem to elongate my legs.

Think that as soon as funds allow, I'll be buying the blue denim ones too.

(Excuse the mess of my room, I just wanted to try them on as soon as I got them through the post)

Here's a picture of
the back....  Love the cute rear pockets and the darts that shape so perfectly

Really like how they appear to emphasise my waist

Just the right weight of fabric for use in summer.

The cut is fantastically flattering. Nicely tapered, and allow for a lovely turn up at the hem.

Can't wait to go out in them.

I'll post better, prettier photos soon.

Almost didn't go out & do this, but so glad I did!

A photo of a hound-tooth print dress at The Selecter gig at Rock City. Photo taken by a lovely lady called Amanda that I met.

Week 12. A snakeskin print belted shift dress

Work clothing again. Snakeskin print shift dress. Taken in my Living room. Note: Spot my rather snazzy Zebra print cat bed & the essential retro- luscious leather bean bag.

Mrs Brown's Boys & Spotting My Print On The Wall

I've never actually watched the TV programme Mrs Brown's Boys until fairly recently, despite hearing great reviews from both the press & friends alike. Both sources mentioned how funny it was.

I've always channel hopped when Mrs Brown's Boys came on the TV. Tonight I thought I'd see what all the fuss is about & watch it on iPlayer.
... It did make me laugh. Mainly because I happened to spot one of my vintage prints on her wall

My Version of the Mrs Brown Print

....then later the same day my cat knocked an smashed two of the ceramic letters that spelled out the word home, leaving the word 'me' standing ...

How bizzare

A Frock On Friday 2012 Catch-up

I never got the chance to post them to this blog last year, (I posted them to the Cancer Research Site and Facebook)

I'm going to repost the photos in months/four weeks worth of photos as a catch up & ready to start a brand new challenge

(Shouldn't take that long to catch up)

Hope you enjoy...
